Responsibility
- collaborate with the Managing Director to conceptualise and design the base elements of memorial jewellery pieces
- stay informed on the latest trends in fashion and consumer preferences to ensure our base designs are both innovative and marketable
- create detailed drawings and specifications for base designs, ensuring they are ready for precise manufacturing
- prepare specifications for CAD detailing to enhance the clarity and manufacturability of designs
- prepare detailed documentation for external manufacturing, liaising with partners to guarantee designs are executed accurately
- revise and adapt base designs based on feedback from the Managing Director and considerations for manufacturing requirements
- manage the development database and tracker, keeping all base design projects well-documented and up-to-date
Requirements
- proven experience as a Jewellery Designer, specifically with designing base pieces for further customisation
- exceptional ability in technical drawing; proficiency in CAD is advantageous but not required
- comprehensive understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes and materials, with a focus on producing feasible base designs
- excellent communication skills for effective coordination with manufacturing partners and internal teams
- ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt designs based on technical feedback and manufacturing constraints
- A strong creative drive, continuously seeking to innovate and refine the foundational elements of our jewellery
