Responsibility
- produce commercial and innovative designs, being mindful of customer requirements and price points
- responsible for managing own accounts and liaising with customers, taking direction from the Design Manager and Account Manager when needed
- attend research trips in the UK and potentially abroad
- responsible for own research and ongoing trends
- carry out comparative shopping to predict trends
- develop core ranges from start to finish including print design and fabric sourcing specific to individual customers and their requirements
- create commercial trends for the season across Nightwear, Loungewear and Swimwear
- liaise with factories to source relevant and appropriate fabrics and new development ideas
Requirements
- relevant Design Degree
- prior experience and knowledge of fabrics and product areas beneficial
- blended Office and home based role with potential travel to UK customers
- CAD literate
- strong communication and presentation skills
- strong time management and organisational skills to adhere to firm deadlines
- commercial awareness
- nightwear fabric and product knowledge
