- perform MOT tests on vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards
- accurately and skilfully undertake the repair and servicing of motor vehicles
- work with other departments to facilitate the timely servicing and repair of vehicles
- detect and diagnose any additional faults for further repair
- ensure all work is completed safely and complies with the Company, manufacturer and industry guidelines
- identify and report any defects or issues with vehicles
- use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out necessary inspections
- conduct heavy lifting as required during the testing process
Requirements
- proficient in using hand tools and power tools for vehicle inspections
- strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- ability to lift heavy objects safely during testing procedures
- excellent attention to detail to identify defects accurately
- A full and valid driving licence
- previous experience would be an advantage and understanding of automative systems and functionality
