- provide high-quality care for the child in the nursery, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
- observe and assess her progress, maintaining accurate records of development
- communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and support children's needs
- manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and play activities to ensure a structured environment
- support children in developing social skills through play and interaction with peers
- maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery environment to promote health and safety standards
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- A passion for childcare or early childhood education is essential
- experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is desirable but not essential
- A genuine drive to support children's learning and development through creative play and structured activities
- ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required
- all of our Room Managers have progressed to their roles from inside the Nursery
