- to negotiate with suppliers’ “best deal” scenarios and understand lead times required for order
- to purchase nationally and internationally to secure the best deals
- to arrange importation of all goods bought internationally and to account for the transport costs when sourcing goods
- to place orders on suppliers and to ensure their delivery on time and to price quoted
- to adhere to the administration system of the company in the placing of orders
- to establish for each new component purchased a unique stock code based on guidelines set out by the MD
- to maintain the computer system with all required information about the supplier, product and other information required
