Responsibility
manage day-to-day running of a specialist respite service, focusing on quality and best outcomes
from early 2024 the service is being redeveloped to accommodate a 2-person service, targeted for placement breakdown s and individuals with autism, this may include individuals needing higher staffing levels enabling a safe, secure and structured environment
reporting to: Operational Manager
understand and implement the organisation’s policies and procedures, and ensure that they are disseminated to all staff for whom you have responsibility. This includes new policies and updates that are issued by the senior leadership team
be prepared to act as emergency cover in services, when necessary
hold regular, recorded team meetings with all of your teams
ensure that all documentation is completed to a professional standard, and implemented in a personalised way that includes the person being supported
keep accurate records of staff hours, holidays, sickness and absence, etc, and provide accurate information for payroll each month
Requirements
willingness to work flexibly and to keep knowledge and skills up to date
experience of managing the delivery of social care services as a registered manager
enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service formally known as the Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure

experience of residential services, risk assessment and person centered care and support
