management accountant
Responsibility
- lead & Develop – Guide and mentor the Management Accounts Assistants, ensuring clear objectives and regular performance reviews
- financial Reporting – Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, reconciliations, and KPIs
- budgeting & Forecasting – Support business planning by preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, offering recommendations to drive profitability
- stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with department heads to ensure budget adherence, providing financial insights and support
- VAT & Compliance – Manage VAT processes for UK, Germany, and the Netherlands, ensuring compliance and maximising VAT recovery
- payroll Oversight – Prepare payroll for 35 employees, ensuring smooth and accurate processing through our external payroll provider
- cash Flow Management – Monitor, forecast, and optimise cash flow to support business operations and investments
- audit Preparation – Assist in yearly audits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting
Requirements
- ✔ Proven experience in monthly management accounts, payroll, and VAT returns
- ➕ CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
- ✔ Strong leadership experience – mentoring and guiding a team
- ➕ Ability to speak another language
- ✔ Ability to work with KPIs and performance management systems
- ➕ Experience working with international finance and VAT compliance
- ➕Knowledge of Iplicit Accounting System
- ✔ Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing environments
