Leigh gym staff need to realise that the members pay their wages. Without us they have no job.
The staff are so rude, gossiping, spreading lies, for their own entertainment. So unprofessional.
Staff and management need to focus on cleaning this dirty gym and maintaining the multitude faulty machines and do public relations staff training.
I’ve cancelled my payment.

The staff at the gym are friendly and professional and they have plenty of equipment to train in any way you wan(E.G free weights,body weight exercises) but anytime you go the gym there's always a machine or two broken and they take a few months to be prepared.

The gym and its changing rooms have been clean every time i have been

Four days without ruining water, but yet they remained open with no toilets, no showers, no cleaning equipment. Air conditioning hasn’t worked for several months. It is too hot to do classes. Buckets are being used in the men’s washroom to catch leaking urinals for weeks. Multiple equipment has been broken out of use for several months without repair/replacement. Working machines need maintenance - new grips, new wires, replacement of broken seats on the bikes and the water holders, cleaning etc
jacuzzis are boarded up for the last two years. Rude staff.
I have nothing positive to say, and the membership fee is a waste of money.

I once really rated this gym but has gone down hill, machines are regularly out of use for long periods of time, and the ones that are in use aren't well maintained. An example of this are the bikes where the seats have massive cracks in them and every single one has a broken waterbottle holder.
There's been no new equipment in a very long time and is being left behind by more modern gyms. The men's toilets have also been broken for months with buckets just being left under urinals instead of paying to fix the problem.
The air-conditioning hasn't been working in months with them just holding doors open and putting one big fan in the entire gym hoping that will be sufficient for gym which is definitely not. I feel like my negatives are coming from either management refusing to pay have a better upkeep or the gym having had severe budget cuts.
The gym is always very busy, but this is because they’re giving out free memberships monthly.

Over the past few years. There's always some equipment that is out of use and the 2 jacuzzis haven't been working for the past few years. The worse thing is the men's changing rooms.
Showers are untidy, plastic bottles and chewing gum left in the shower cubicles. You're lucky if there is any shampoo / shower gel available. I won't even mention the toilets !! The changing rooms are in desperate need of an update.

My first day in a gym class I got a technique wrong and a member of staff shouted at me which humiliated me in front of everyone.

I will never go back to this gym due to the level of unprofessionalism.

There are some very bad members of staff at this gym.
As a male member I am discriminated against. I was walking from the studio downstairs and a female member was in front of me, she stopped and turned to look at me and wanted to engage in conversation with me so we stood in the corridor chatting at her request.
A member of staff walked past and gave me the most disgusting dirty look as if I’ve done something wrong.
The member of staff later complaint to management that I was bothering women.
But yet the woman I was talking to wanted to talk to me and made no complaint as she had no reason to do so. We have since become friends and the member of staff continues to do this to other male members of the gym.

At Everlast in Leigh, I was not allowed to smile.
I smiled, then a staff member, with a negative agenda, falsely accuse me of looking at, and laughing at a particular gym member who wasn’t even in the gym at the time when I smiled.
Firstly, there is a big difference between smiling to laughing. Secondly, the person I was falsely accused of laughing at wasn’t even there. The fact that the staff member maliciously accused me of laughing at a person who wasn’t there, means that the staff member is lying, and they think there is a reason for laughing at that member. The false reason is because the person is overweight.
Very strange uncomfortable staff behaviour screaming and shouting lies. So clearly the staff member is at fault, therefore I do not recommend this gym at all.

Manipulation is when they blame members of the gym to others for members reactions to their (staff) toxic behaviour, as if you are the problem, but yet they (staff) never talk about the disrespect, bullying, gaslighting, lies, smear campaign etc that triggered you.
This is the reason that Everlast Leigh gym has failed as a company. Bad staff.

Everlast Leigh tried to cover up the negative facts with more lies and fake positive Google feedbacks.
The staff and their member friends committed crimes against members. Legal action was taken and thousands in compensation have been paid out. They will never admit this.
This gym has the worst staff, and unpleasant atmosphere I have ever encountered.
I’ve seen staff shouting and screaming at members being very threatening. The toxic gossip is horrendous.
Added to this the whirlpools are boarded up out of use and the gym equipment is very old and in some cases dangerous.
Is it any wonder they are giving free monthly memberships away. No one in their right mind would pay for a membership.

A member of staff at this Leigh branch of Everlast was very disrespectful and rude to me as I did one of my daily prayers.
This was an insult to the (deleted by the administrator). As such, and with me being part of the Muslim community, I speak for all when I say we are all outraged.

Leigh Everlast are desperately doing damage control by flooding Google review with fake positive reviews. They have lost tens of thousands of pounds in revenue due to mismanagement, bad staff, abuse of members, negligence, not maintaining equipment Etc.
This is why they are also offering free two months membership February/March to get people into the gym to try and make numbers up for the large number of people that have cancelled their memberships.
AVOID this toxic failed gym.

My local Everlast in Leigh is awful, showers mouldy, equipment broken and air conditioning always on heat because the reception staff are cold!

I noticed in January that Everlast Gym in Leigh was offering free membership for the full month. I thought it was an unusual time of year for a gym to be offering free membership because with New Year’s resolutions people all gyms are busy in January, so no need to give free membership I thought.
I read bad reviews online so I declined the offer.
Then they offered February and March for free and pay nothing until April. Again very unusual promotion because If the gym was already successful then why give two free months at once? Out of curiosity this time I took them up on the offer.
My conclusion- DON’T BOTHER!!! I’ve been bothered with text, emails, phone calls. This is one desperate gym for paying members.

Over the past few days Everlast in Leigh has had over 15 negative feedbacks removed from Google reviews to up their positive ratings. Some of these negative reviews date back three years but most are recent.
They are now flooding Google with fake positive feedbacks in their desperation for damage control to scam the public to join the gym.
The fact is they are going out of business due to rude staff, multiple faulty old equipment, lack of cleanliness etc
I am a former employee and I left by my own choice so I am not bitter with them, but I think it is wrong of them to scam the public with lies of positive feedbacks, so I am posting the truth.
Avoid this gym it’s bad.

As a new member taking the free February offer, I recently did the Boxing fit class or Combat class and I found it to be highly unprofessional.
The trainer clearly has no idea what they are doing and I question if they’re even qualified to instruct a class.
Also the trainer isn’t inspiring for many reasons. Surely to be an instructor in a fitness class, you yourself have to be fit and healthy. Not exactly a good roll model advertisement for the gym.

I won’t be joining as a paying member.

I thought it unusual that the gym was giving free membership throughout January and now I know why.
I took the offer of free membership and instead of doing the full month, two days was enough for me.
It was like going back to the 1980s with second rate equipment, most of which doesn’t work. The place is a dump.

As an employee of this Leigh gym for years, I can no longer remain silent over this. January/February have always been our busiest months for new paying members. However this year there has been very little to no interest, & the established paying members are leaving the gym in large numbers. Therefore Everlast has been forced for the first time to give free memberships away for the whole of January & February. This gives a false impression that the gym is busy with paying members when in reality it is not. To reinforce this false impression they are posting daily fake positive feedbacks on Google in which has never happened before. I myself was asked to post positive feedback on Google but I have refused, so I am telling the public the truth.
The fact is the machines/equipment are below standard, old and large numbers are out of order which don’t get replaced/repaired. When signing up for the free month you are signing a 12 months contract and Everlast are sending out legal letters for the full 12 month payment. The work and membership gym environment has become very bad, and therefore I am leaving.

I’ve been a member of this gym for 15 years and over the last three years there has been a heavy decline with faulty gym equipment not getting replaced/repaired, rude staff, no cleaning equipment, no cleaners so the place is a mess. If you complain, you are just verbally abused.
And I’ve noticed the large number of fake positive feedbacks on Google, 12 within four days and that has never happened before. This is their last ditch attempt for damage control, plus the fact they are giving free membership away throughout January and February in desperation to attract people, to make the gym look busy.
I am deeply disappointed in the gym and it is not worth the membership fee. I’ve now cancelled my membership after 15 years.

I took advantage of the free one months membership. I thought it strange that they were giving free membership away in January which would normally be the most busiest month for new members paying to join.
Having been a member for over two weeks, I can see why they are giving membership away for free.
A large number of the equipment doesn’t even work. The place needs a deep clean. And some of the staff are extremely rude.
Luckily, I didn’t sign a 12 month contract.
I won’t be continuing with my free months membership and I do not recommend this gym at all.

I’ve been a member of this gym in Leigh for several months. I’ve patiently watched and waited to see the large number of faulty machines get repaired, in that time not one of them has been repaired. There are signs on them saying out of order.
Why am I paying a membership and not getting the full membership benefits when so many machines are fault? This is not acceptable.

As an employee of Everlast, I can honestly say I’ve never seen it so bad. January is normally a good month for new member subscriptions but this year we’ve had very little. Plus more people are ending their membership rather than joining or renewing.
I’m now looking for another job because head office are not maintaining this gym. It’s falling apart.

At Everlast Leigh, if you are popular, your membership gets revoked. Also if you voice your truthful opinion on the bad management of the gym, the aggressive unprofessional staff, the declining overall gym, extensive faulty machines that don’t get repaired, the lack of cleanliness (filthy unhealthy unhygienic), if you say just one truthful negative word about this declining gym then your membership is revoked, but to be honest, they have done me and my friends a favour. We have now joined a high class well managed, well maintained gym.

Been going to this Everlast Leigh gym for years now. This gym is falling apart, everyday a new piece of equipment is broken. There is not enough machine attachments and the ones that are here are also falling apart. The jazzcuzis have been closed for a very long time so forget that.

The staff at Everlast in Leigh seem to think they have a God-given right to control what members do simply because we pay a membership.
For example, some of us like to meet up early for conversation before our class, some of us get each other’s mats out so that we can train together, some of us wait for other members so we can all leave together and have a chat. Some of us socialise at each other’s homes outside of the gym.
But for some illogical reason, some staff members think they have a right to interfere with this, by putting a stop to it as if it’s a problem when there is no problem until the staff intervene.
This consists of dirty looks from staff, making us feel uncomfortable, spreading lies about members, threatening abusive behaviour etc They go out of their way to disrupt the pleasure that members get from each other’s company. Very strange behaviour.

Having been a member for sometime, and so I can honestly say I have never had the staff at a company make me feel so uncomfortable on an extreme level. I will never go back to Everlast gym in Leigh. They know what they have done is wrong, as such myself and multiple others have withdrew our membership.

I’ve been a member for almost eight years, and in the last eighteen months I’ve seen a real decline in all aspects of this Gym. They have halved the cleaning staff, and it clearly shows, because the place is filthy, and the pool.
The equipment is old, dirty and a larger number doesn’t function. Plus we went days without water back in June, so no working facilities that require water, but yet they remained open. Money seems to be the priority and not the members.
I have NOT renewed my membership.

The app keeps putting me on a class waiting list. It’s faulty. Sort it out Everlast and whist you are at it, sort out all the faulty equipment and get new mats that actually are padded and not like thin paper on the gym floor. Useless.

Everlast Leigh covered up their hot tub whirlpools with decking due to them being too expensive to run and maintain.
Everlast excuse for this is, and I quote -
“As for the ‘decking’ that was part of the refurb idea not a ‘cover up’….” End quote.
There has not been a refurb, all the machines and equipment are still old and knackard, and how is the covering up of the pools with decking not a cover up?
Covering up whirlpools is not a refurb idea because a refurb should be an improvement to facilities, not removing covering up pools.
As members, there is no longer any point in continuing a membership.
The deterioration of this gym is obvious for everyone to see. I’ve cancelled my membership with immediate effect, and I will not be paying for the remaining 12 months.

The worst gym I have ever had the nightmare to deal with for many reasons. First it is impossible to cancel membership without them insisting I pay the remaining full 12 months money, even though I don’t want to be a member. Very rude aggressive intimidation from staff.
Why pay when they do not deliver on the full
membership fee because there are so many faulty machines.
Machines out of order signs everywhere.
The staff are rude.
Place is filthy.
Pools hot tubs boarded up out of use.
Air-conditioning not working.
Music in studio faulty.
I could go on and on.....
