Myself and a large number of others have cancelled membership at Everlast Leigh.
The ill treatment of members is disgraceful. Rude staff, second rate old knackered faulty equipment, filthy pool area, steam room, showers, toilets and general gym area unhygienic.
AVOID this neglected gym.
In their desperation for money they are threatening people that cancel their direct debit, as they are claiming that we are in a contract to pay for a full 12 months, even though we haven’t had 12 months, and don’t want to continue a membership.
AVOID.

Very dissapointed with this Leigh gym, very badly maintained, most of the facilities are Never available for use, very bad steam room, hit and miss, most of all, pathetic management, was told I can't pay cash to continue my monthly payments, so offered to pay for the full year in cash, staff couldn't sort it, so accepted cash for my monthly payment, when expired, was told the same, been a regular here for over 15 years! Will never go back again! Good riddance!

Considering the company name and size this gym is not worth the money. Equipment constantly out of order and for months at a time. Equipment is ok but basic at best. 3 Stair climbers have been out of action for over 6 months and still aren't working. Leg press broken 2/3 months, running machines and exercise bikes out of order. Cable machines out of order.
The gym is usable and pool is ok but if you are looking to train and use equipment instead of free weights I would look elsewhere.
Staff at best are ok but seem unmotivated and uninterested.

Terrible facilities. Showers always on the blink, Jacuzzis and steam room permanently shut, pool often smells awful and is mostly full with lessons. Don't know how this place hasn't gone out of business yet. I emphasise yet!!!

Everlast Leigh are ruthless money grabbers, only interested in desperately making money as the business is in a bad way.
Some staff are decent but others terrible aggressive horrible.
Firstly, the Steam room hardly ever works. Staff always blame the members for messing with thermostats, which is just irresponsible, why not just install tamper proof stats if thats the case?
The two jacuzzis have been turned off blocked up, and not been fixed for over a year now.
It has limited machinery and many of the machines remain broken for months that are not getting fixed.
So basically you have a swimming pool for the premium price, which is negated by the opening hours, which are limiting as they close early on weekends vs many other gyms which are 24 hour gyms.
To add insult to injury they'll ticket you for extremely minor infractions, they've ticketed me 3 times now. One of them was my car being outside the bay by 5cm.
Gym membership has been cancelled. Never again giving these guys a penny.

For the price they charge and for how long they've been saying this place is getting a "refurb" it's a DEAD gym, no sauna or steam room working, no jacuzzis working and many machines out of order.
Some staff are good but you get the odd one that thinks it's their dad's place. Oh and if you don't park in the bay properly expect a parking ticket

As being a previous member of staff I feel like it's only right to let you know that I was told to lie to gym members about a "refurb" that is never coming, so ignore what all the staff tell you. They have been saying the same lie for years. Say anything to get your money.
The staff are treated like slaves and forced to work shifts which are very unsociable. I remember one staff member could barely see her kids because the manager wanted to book off every single holiday of the year.
I feel bad for the amount of members I've had to phone/email/text. We was told we must contact 20 members (6 person team) each during the day to try get them to bring a friend. Managers didn't care if we contacted the member the day before, it was just harassment and keep doing it. There's so many better gyms in this area. The gym is so out dated and everything is done bare minimum, told to lie to members on a daily basis.
£30 for a gym with equipment that doesn't work and outdated that I was told to stick tape over it and hope for the best, there's kit in there that legally is not safe to use but like I said bare minimum, STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS

Don't join! Worst gym ever! Make sure you get a copy emailed to you on the T&Cs! Horrible customer service and horrible experience when you want to cancel rolling membership, plus app never works and they don't assist in cancellation, they will continue to take payments and blame errors on their poor technical systems. Used to be a good gym but has gone down the pan. Facilities are very poor and dirty. No maintenance at all. Faulty equipment, dirty, rude staff, need I go on.

Steam room dirty with emoty bottles, staff walking around the pool and showers in their outside shoes. This is not the place to take kids swimming. Originally I went there to Jacuzzi just to found out it has been removed. Terrible place, only making profit from franchise

With regards to Everlast in Leigh, the staff smear campaign some of their paying members that pay their wages. They lie, bully, they are passive aggressive, they use tactics such as narcissistic projection, narcissistic baiting, gaslighting etc.
The result is that many members have cancelled their memberships, which means the revenue is reduced, and now they cannot afford to maintain any of the faulty equipment. They can’t afford to turn the hot tubs on. They have reduced the temperature of the pool and steam room. They have turned off spotlights around the gym area in a futile attempt to save money, to try, but fail to save the business. The cleanliness has been neglected due to them reducing the cleaning staff to part time only.
They even didn’t pay the freelance gym instructors for weeks. Plus four days without running water, so no toilets, showers or cleaning equipment but yet they remained open. The air conditioning doesn’t work.
Not recommended at all, do not sign a 12 month contract with this company because you will lose your money.
Ex-members are receiving threatening legal letters for the remainder of the 12 month contract money. Very desperate company.
Businesses only succeeded when you look after the paying customer, and Everlast Leigh have failed to do that which has had a huge domino effect for the whole company.

This gym has really gone downhill since Everlast took over!! Its dirty, dingy, old equipment - half of which needs repairs.
TVs have all been switched off
2 Jacuzzis turned off
Steam room on a low setting
Half the showers don't work!!
The older age groups have all left
Full of young lads now! training in groups!
Equipment is old and tired - Everlast??? should be more NEVERLASTS!!!!
Cancelled my membership!!!

This gym Everlast in Leigh is a total let down l've been a member for just over 12 months and all I have seen is a steady decline the changing rooms are filthy the showers are hit and miss the hot tubs don't work the parents stand on the poolside with outdoor shoes on because it's very rare overshoes are provided. The established PT instructors who have worked hard to keep a loyal following have now left therefore the class timetable has declined even the busy classes that brought 15 plus every week have been removed from the timetable to be replaced by classes that have no interest.
The staff do try their best to give but it's clear they have no decision making powers to change things.

I would not recommend this gym to anyone in its sorry state. I will not be renewing my membership and I know of many others that have left and are leaving.

There is a recurring issue with Everlast Leigh where the equipment is not working and never seems to be repaired. Both stairmasters have been out of order for at least six months, leg press out of order for over four months, treadmills out of order and now one of the cable machines. Both jacuzzis were removed earlier in the year, yet members are still being charged monthly payments, the same amount we were before all the equipment broke. You cannot keep fibbing customers off with area manager on holiday or we will get back to you within five days .

I recently visited the Everlast gym in Leigh, and my experience was extremely disappointing. The gym was unkempt and poorly maintained, with broken machines scattered throughout the facility.
Dust and empty plastic bottles littered the floor, giving the impression of neglect. Additionally, the layout of the gym was poorly planned, with machines placed too close together, making it difficult to navigate and work out comfortably. It was evident that cleanliness was not a priority, as there was no blue roll available for machine cleaning after use, and many machines had been out of order for a considerable amount of time.
The lack of basic amenities such as toilet paper and hand wash soap in the restroom further highlighted the disregard for hygiene and customer satisfaction. Overall, my experience at Everlast gym in Leigh was extremely
disappointing, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and well-maintained fitness facility.

Don't listen to the fake positive reviews. Tried to cancel after 10 years with the company having taken a gym holiday for a few months where they charge you £5 per month for the pleasure of not going. When my direct debit went back up to full price £40 l thought it time to cancel in full.
Called through and spoke to their manager as was told I have to pay another full months payment, this is despite not setting foot through the door in over 7 months.
very rude and started making a play on words "it's not a gym holiday it's a suspension" terrible customer service from him but then again he is equally as rude to his staff
Oh and don't let me forget to mention how dirty the place is and all the broken equipment that takes months to get repaired.... AVOID!!

If I could leave zero stars I would.
l've been a member here for 7/8 years and nothing has been refurbished since then.
The pool is impossible to swim in as you get 1/3 and the other 2/3's are for private swimming
lessons. Full of kids.
The jacuzzi's are broken constantly, now blocked up, and so is the air conditioning.
It's honestly a joke and needs sorting asap, the only good thing about this gym is the location and some staff.
The cleanliness of the gym is also very poor the pool and changing area's need a full refurb as they are old. It's seems as if since Everlast took over this gym they only care about making more money and not member satisfaction.

This gym used to be pretty good gym, but unfortunately Everlast and management have let it go, the showers are disgusting and dangerous, broken tiles and mold present. Recently the boiler keeps braking down so no hot water. Machines have out of order signs on for months. General cleaning is non existent, if you report to manager or head office, they just shrug you off, the young staff do their best but are hindered by management. It almost seems as if they are running it into the ground and just taking the money. Looking at other gyms in the area to start

Be Warned!! If joining mainly to swim I wouldn't bother. The pool has been taken over with kids swimming lessons nearly every day, toddlers sessions all day Monday & Friday. Greed, Greed & more Greed. They do not care about the members what would you expect with bad staff/management.

Many improvements need to be made, there is no investment in the gym... The machines are very old, damaged, “out of order”, many benches are not stable, the calf machine wobbles, the shoulder machine is always broken... the water in the pool is sometimes too cold, and in the solarium, the plexiglass that covers the neon lights was a bit dirty on the inside

2 year old child busting for the toilet, literally holding herself so she doesn't pee herself. Asked the staff if she can use the toilet really quickly so she doesn't have to go through the embarrassment of potty training and peeing herself in public. Staff were so horrible they just point blankly said "no, private gym", what sort of staff of ANY establishment rejects a 2 year old and letting her go through the pain of having to pee herself in public. Absolute joke.

Dated and dirty, cancelled membership as just not worth the money. You would have thought with all the time in lockdown they could have painted the walls and cleaned the showers/grout, replaced all the damaged equipment and modernised - but no, zero investment.

This gym is very friendly and welcoming all the staff are very helpful. The gym is always clean and definitely not covered in mold. Great classes there’s something for everyone. The swimming pool a good size with nice decking area to relax and a steam room plenty of showers which are always kept clean. I highly recommend this gym.

Poor equipment keeps braking, get rid of all the precor machines and get proper industrial gym kit instead of the cheap junk what is broke every week, that's the only way around it.

I have been a member for a few years and the equipment has unfortunately not been maintained, it started with removing the hot tubs, and gradually more and more equipment has out of order signs on it, it never seems to be repaired.
All 3 steppers are out of order and have been for a long time, the leg press has been broken for a couple of months, the calf raise was broken so it was just removed and never replaced.
I feel it is going downhill due to a lack of investment, but membership prices remain the same.

Everywhere mould in swimming pool, in showers.
Cracks. Walls dirty and damaged. Ceiling in swimming pool with big hole. Jacuzzi removed.
Very cold in the shower, from conditioner all the time going cold air. Complained but they do not do nothing. Do not recommend to go there for swimming. About gym I cannot to say nothing because just used swimming pool.

Disgusting how there allowing 14 year olds to join a gym with a bank card and then signing them up to a contract with out parents consent don't do a induction don't keep an eye on them in the gym then charging some kids £24 a month and others
£30 a month clearly on website says min age 16 for students but charging 14 year olds more staff have no idea and just let the kids use what ever free weights they want

Dirty dated and not great experience at all.
Changing rooms are cold and showers absolutely smell disgusting, never any shower gel and the mens changing are absolutely disgusting beyond words.

The gym felt empty. I managed 4 days then exercised my 14day cancellation clause. There was a lot of space that could be used for new equipment. The gym had the basic equipment but was missing a lot of the usual things you'd find in most gyms. Issues with some of the lockers not closing properly but the biggest put off was the amount of water I always found on the changing room floors. It just gave it an unclean feeling.

DIRTY - The floors in the changing rooms are so dirty that my feet are black after a few steps. You can see that the floor tiles around the edge are a different colour to the ones in the middle. I always wear flip flops now.
A thorough deep clean is needed throughout.
There used to always be a cleaner around the place, but never anymore. Plenty of staff just standing around chatting however...
Floors are always soaking wet as there is nowhere to spin wet swimwear.
Aside from that, there are always issues - pool regularly cold, lights in changing rooms not working, showers cold, heating in changing room not working etc and nothing gets fixed in a rush.
It's such as shame, as with the right management and some care it could be a brilliant place to go,
but it just gets worse.

The issue lies with the corporation that runs the gym.
Broken machines don't get fixed/replaced for months at a time or get removed completely.
This can really screw up workout routines.
Lack of certain machines means having to change your routine.
20-30% of machines are either broken or needing maintenance.
