we are seeking to appoint a Residential Support Worker for our children’s home in Located in Uxbridge
no two days will be the same supporting young people to achieve their very best
we aim to create a positive, relaxed home environment where the young people feel safe, supported & listened to
experience of working in a residential home for children is advantageous, although not essential
this is a great opportunity for someone to join a highly established and successful children’s home, learning from experienced, skilled team of likeminded individuals who share a passion for giving the children in care the very best support
you will have a varied array of tasks whilst on shift; everything from cooking & cleaning, taking part in activities and games, taking Young People out to appointments/meetings, managing challenging behaviours, or even sitting and watching TV with the Young People
you will be inducted by our industry leading, award winning learning & development team, and guided in your role by more senior staff members, including psychologists/therapy team to establish appropriate boundaries, manage behaviours effectively and nurture the young people in your care towards positive futures
please bear in mind this role is shift work and requires you to work sleep ins at the home at the end of a shift before handing over to another staff team the following day, the rolling rota covers evenings, weekends, bank holidays/public holidays shared amongst the staff team
Education
GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
