Responsibility
- we are seeking to appoint a Residential Support Worker for our children’s home in Located in Uxbridge
- no two days will be the same supporting young people to achieve their very best
- we aim to create a positive, relaxed home environment where the young people feel safe, supported & listened to
- experience of working in a residential home for children is advantageous, although not essential
- this is a great opportunity for someone to join a highly established and successful children’s home, learning from experienced, skilled team of likeminded individuals who share a passion for giving the children in care the very best support
- you will have a varied array of tasks whilst on shift; everything from cooking & cleaning, taking part in activities and games, taking Young People out to appointments/meetings, managing challenging behaviours, or even sitting and watching TV with the Young People
- you will be inducted by our industry leading, award winning learning & development team, and guided in your role by more senior staff members, including psychologists/therapy team to establish appropriate boundaries, manage behaviours effectively and nurture the young people in your care towards positive futures
- please bear in mind this role is shift work and requires you to work sleep ins at the home at the end of a shift before handing over to another staff team the following day, the rolling rota covers evenings, weekends, bank holidays/public holidays shared amongst the staff team
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
