maintenance technician
Responsibility
- perform routine general maintenance and repair work such as light electrical, plumbing, painting, carpet/floor, cleaning, and snow and ice removal
- timely completion of work orders generated by call-in requests or preventive maintenance schedule according to the Maintenance Operative Works List
- obtains necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Seeks further guidance, if needed, to consistently resolve issues on first visit
- utilizes mandatory safety equipment and Safe Systems of Work to perform tasks and ensure the safety of those around them
- small appliance and equipment installation
- move items as needed
- performs minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems
- delivery of office and building supplies
Requirements
- ability to multi-task and prioritise within a fast changing environment
- knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other trades
- UK Drivers Licence is required as this is a mobile position
- time management and organisation skills
- ability to work independently or in a team
- strong sense of initiative requiring little direct supervision
- self-motivated and possessing a positive attitude
- ability to work under pressure
