Responsibility
- conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, including cars and vans
- inspect vehicles for safety and emissions compliance according to regulatory standards
- use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform necessary tests and inspections
- identify any faults or defects in vehicle components or systems that may affect their roadworthiness
- provide clear and concise reports on test results and any necessary repairs or maintenance
- maintain accurate records of all tests conducted and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- keep up-to-date with changes in MOT testing standards and regulations
- during your role you will be required to carry out maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles
Requirements
- valid MOT Tester license
- strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- excellent attention to detail and ability to identify faults or defects
- good communication skills to effectively explain test results to customers
- ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- physical ability for heavy lifting and manual dexterity for using hand tools
