Responsibility
perform detailed and accurate 2D and 3D take-offs using systems such as Bluebeam and costX
review architectural plans, specifications, and other project documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
analyse and quantify materials, labour, and equipment required for each project
prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns, proposals, and bid packages
track and update cost data to ensure accuracy and reflect any changes during the estimation process
conduct thorough reviews of project requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities

Education
bachelor's
Requirements
proven experience as a Construction Estimator, including proficiency in 2D and 3D take-offs
strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes
proficiency in using estimation software, such as Bluebeam, and other industry-standard tools
excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen eye for detail
ability to interpret and analyze architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
effective communication and negotiation skills to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices
