- to assess the needs of Young Carers and establish the support required from the Young Carers Project
- an understanding of the role that a Young Carer has and how this can impact their life
- to assist in the development and delivery of age appropriate activities for Young Carers including groups and occasional residential breaks
- the skills for a demanding, yet very rewarding job delivering one to one support
- the skills to help deliver group sessions
