- program and operate CNC plasma profiling machine
- work with the Production manager and Works Manager to read work orders and plan work sequence
- set controls for speed, feed rate depth and angle to ensure good productivity and efficient working
- take delivery and be able to handle and move materials with forklift truck and overhead cranes
- cutting and removal of scrap material
Requirements
- operating CNC equipment and CNC plasma tables. Knowledge of Ajan type plasma cutter and software an advantage, but not essential
- must be able to read technical drawings
- organized with an attention to detail
- maintains accurate and detailed inventory data
- CAD knowledge helpful but not required
- the ability to prioritise tasks and adopt a flexible approach to working methods
- the ability to work within a team environment
- overhead crane license an advantage, but not essential
