Requirements
- to have at least level 2 or equivalent in numeracy and literacy
- to have a level 3 qualification relevant to youth work
- essential experience in a related job role
- awareness of current issues facing young people and their families
- awareness of the youth work curriculum
- to be aware of the many legal aspects and dangers associated with young people in today’s world
- excellent communication skills and a non-judgemental approach to all users of the building
- knowledge of the local area and other agencies, organisations and support available for young people
