Responsibility
- train and induct all new staff in all aspects of their role
- ensure all staff are trained in all aspects of food hygiene, manual handling, fire safety and health and safety
- engage with all staff and embed a positive Health & Safety Culture with demonstrable benefits
- write, Review, and Assess Risk Assessments
- create and implement Safe Systems of Work
- carry out regular Shop and Bakery audits and produce Action Plans
- dorringtons is an independent family run bakery chain which has been established for over 104 years. Our bakery is in Sawbridgeworth, which supply 16 stores, 6 snack vans and online sales. You will be based at our head office in Sawbridgeworth
- ensure Company Health & Safety procedures are always implemented and complied with
Requirements
- qualified in Health & Safety, minimum requirement IOSH qualified
- proven track record of working within a busy customer focused organisation
- proven track record of working within the food industry
- A proven track record of managing the Health & Safety & Training systems for a multi-site business
- confidence and interpersonal skills to engage at all levels
- hold a full, clean driving licence suitable for use in the UK
- customer focused with the ability to build positive working relationships
- resilient and tenacious with a tendency to persevere
