head of finance
Responsibility
- ensure entry onto the financial system of all day-to-day financial transactions
- ensure regular payment of invoices, credit card transactions, and administration of staff expenses, ensuring all transactions have the appropriate authorisation
- regular and timely reconciliation of cash and banking transactions for sign off by the Director of Finance
- assisting the Director of Finance with the preparation of Management and Year End accounts as required
- support the grant claims process for public funding programmes
- identify and resolve accounting issues, accounting discrepancies, and other financial-related issues
- maintaining the financial ledger records using Sage, ensuring that financial transactions are properly updated, recorded and that all financial reports are accurate
- produce invoices for payments due to the Parent and Subsidiary companies and monitor payments by creditors. Record and where required acknowledge donations and grants received and allocate to the appropriate income stream
