Responsibility

  • meat
  • poultry
  • lobsters and a wide range of fresh fish and shellfish
  • wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables
  • fresh bread and pastry production
  • assisting sous chefs in the day to day running of the kitchen
  • assisting the management of the food hygiene practices

Requirements

  • at least a level 2 food hygiene certificate
  • held a similar role for one or more years
  • awareness of manual handling and C.O.S.S.H regulations
  • NVQ training in food desired but not essential
  • basic knowledge of the kitchen environment
  • similar: 2 years
