support engineer
Responsibility
- as a Test Support Engineer at Cosworth, you will be working within the Test House to provide hands on engineering support
- the role will cover a broad range of engineering disciplines to continuously provide support, development and production of internal combustion engines, rigs and associated components
Requirements
- good knowledge of how to configure and maintain test bed control systems
- understanding of the principals of instrumentation systems, measurement & logging equipment
- good understanding of internal combustion engines and engine test methodology
- understanding of sensors and their application and calibration
- knowledge of the workings of control systems
- writing of documentation – specifications and documentation of work carried out
- programming experience desirable
- setting up and debugging communications links – CAN, Ethernet, RS-485, Data Highway Plus, RS-422, RS-232 desirable
