Responsibility
- manage all aspects of cost control throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accurate forecasting and budgeting
- prepare, monitor, and manage project cash flows to ensure financial stability and timely payment schedules
- carry out detailed measurements of project work and prepare bills of quantities
- handle valuations and applications for payments, ensuring accurate and timely submissions to clients
- provide detailed cost reports and project performance updates to senior management
- assist in procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective purchasing
- monitor and manage project variations and assess their impact on project costs
- ensure that all financial practices comply with current contracts and industry standards
Requirements
- minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in hotel or high-end fit-out projects
- strong understanding of cash flow management, financial forecasting, and cost reporting
- proven experience in taking measurements and preparing detailed BOQs
- expertise in managing valuations, applications, and variations
- proficient in industry-standard software for cost estimation and management
- strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to manage project costs effectively
- excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- familiarity with construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC contracts, is preferred
