youth worker
Responsibility
- facilitate youth group sessions that encourage social interaction and skill development among peers
- facilitate school holiday activies
- promote Climb 4 activities through targeted school provision
- delivery of programms in community setting
- develop and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the needs of youth
- provide one-on-one mentoring and support to children, helping them navigate personal challenges
- collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create comprehensive support plans for youth
- facilitate the delivery of recreational activities including physical activity, arts & craft based workshops, creative workshops that encourage engagement and enjoyment
Requirements
- you must have at least 1 year of Youth work
- you must have at least 1 year experience of working with children in a mentoring or educational capacity is essential
- knowledge of special education practices and support those with mental health challenges and using relevant strategies
- strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, families, and colleagues
- A genuine commitment to the welfare and development of young people
- you must hold a Certificate in Higher Education - ideally Youth work/Children and young people/mental health/health and social care
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
