maintenance engineer
Working hours
- full-time
Responsibility
- work in a safe and controlled manner, following all relevant risk assessments and health & safety regulations
- develop an understanding of the plant and equipment on site
- liaise and communicate with site staff, supervisors, and managers
- fault finding and planned repairs
- complete predictive, preventative maintenance and reactive work to minimize downtime
- support with organizing and facilitating plant services
- coordinate sub-contractors and plant suppliers on site
- supervise subcontractors whilst on site, ensuring compliance with health & safety
Requirements
- you will have practical experience of working in a Recycling, Waste or Industrial/Manufacturing environment
- ideally a minimum qualification of a City and Guilds Engineering Level 3 or ONC
- good working knowledge of Health & Safety
- experience of machine servicing and breakdowns working with pneumatics and hydraulics
- experience of shredder, conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
- electrical competency would be a distinct advantage
- previous experience working on improvement projects
- have the ability to work independently whilst also being part of a team
