Responsibility
- fabricate and assemble metal structures and components from drawings and specifications
- perform welding tasks using stick welding techniques, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards
- operate various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts
- conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
- maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes
- utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations necessary for accurate fabrication
Requirements
- proven experience in welding, particularly with stick welding techniques
- strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications
- experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable
- proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to fabrication tasks
- basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- MIG welding: 1 year
