Responsibility
- southern House, 18 Water Street, Abergele,Conwy,LL22 7SH
- ensure compliance in line with CIW guidelines for the management of medication
- attend meetings as required by the Home Manager / Clinical Lead
- report promptly any risks, including all incidents, near misses and hazards
- assist the registered manager in the implementation of an audit process to monitor and review practices
- ensure all residents receive full and comprehensive pre-admission / admission assessments
- assist the Home Manager / Clinical Lead in the day to day running of the home and prioritise / allocate workload
- ensure the nutritional needs of the residents are met
Education
- maintain effective NMC registration
- develop own skills and knowledge and contribute to the development of others
- attend all training as identified and appropriate to full fill the job role
- be accountable for own practice/performance in line with the organisations requirements
- ensure all staff receive appropriate direction, support, training and development through an appropriate and effective supervision and appraisal process
- in conjunction with the registered manager identify areas for training
- ensure compliance of self and other with mandatory training
- maintain suitable learning environment for staff and act as mentor for NVQ / AWIF candidates
