Responsibility
- ensure the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the school premises, including classrooms, offices, hallways, and outdoor areas
- perform regular inspections of facilities and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to the appropriate personnel
- manage and maintain school equipment, ensuring its availability and functionality
- coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance and repair work
- oversee the set-up and dismantling of equipment and furniture for various school events and activities
- monitor and control access to the school premises, ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors
- respond promptly to emergencies, such as accidents, spills, or facility-related issues, and take appropriate action
- maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring an adequate stock at all times
Requirements
- previous experience in a similar role is required
- excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- good communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and external stakeholders
- physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects
- basic knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to school environments
