Responsibility
- assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
- prepare and maintain laboratory samples for diagnostic testing
- monitor anaesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures
- administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian
- provide nursing care to hospitalised patients, including feeding, grooming, and exercising animals
- maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- educate pet owners on post-operative care and general animal health
- ensure cleanliness and organisation of the veterinary practice, including sterilisation of instruments and equipment
Education
- certificate of Higher Education
Requirements
- qualified Veterinary Nurse with relevant certification or diploma/ Experienced nursing assistant with experience working in a veterinary centre
- experience in a veterinary setting is preferred, particularly in laboratory work
- strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
- ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
- strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- willingness to continue professional development and training
- veterinary experience: 1 year
