Our client, is a National Facilities Management organisation who are currently on the search for a Building Services Engineer who would be carrying out maintenance on one of their large industrial contracts that includes manufacturing and office sites around the East Coast of Yorkshire with sites that include primarily Middlesbrough and Redcar, but travel also to Scarborough and Whitby. To succeed in this role you will; Undertake routine PPM tasks, planned maintenance in line with scheduled dates along with reactive repairs and to priorities workload. Carry out basic electrical repairs, AHU maintenance and plumbing. Hold an electrical, plumbing, or mechanical qualification (Building Services) to City and Guilds NVQ level 2-3 or equivalent. Be able to carry out basic building fabric repairs, making minor plaster repairs to walls and ceilings, replacing ceramic and porcelain floor and wall tiles, changing door ironmongery (locks, hinges and door closers), changing ceiling tiles and carrying out basic repairs/replacement of skirting boards, door stops and architraves. An understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA's), service targets and objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices. Strong customer care focus. Good communication skills and proactive approach. Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults. Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely manner.
