Responsibility
- manage and communicate with all members of the Transport team ensuring the smooth day to day running of the delivery operation
- oversee the HR responsibilities for the team including Annual Leave, Absence, Attendance & Recruitment
- forecast and plan for future shift planning with reference to forecast, volumes, holidays, etc
- ensure there is an effective de-briefing process on a daily basis
Requirements
- CPC preferred
- experience of managing teams in a Transport environment
- igloo Thermo Logistics is a national next-day logistics company. They specialize in temperature-controlled distribution throughout the UK transporting parcels to pallets
- ability to organise and prioritise workload in fast paced operations
- good communication skills, with the ability to deal with individuals at all levels
- cast UK have been instructed by our client Igloo Thermo Logistics to recruit a Transport Shift Manager to manage the Transport team at their Luton depot
- this is a new role to the business and will have full responsibility for the day to day running of the Operation
