- you'll be a pivotal part of our Independent Living Services, offering housing and support to 16-17 year-olds in Local Authority Care
- our overarching objective is to enhance individuals' independence, equipping them to pursue their own aspirations
- what You'll Do
- are you ready to embark on a thrilling journey where you're not just a supervisor but a catalyst for youthful brilliance?
- this full-time role involves working in a great team 5 days per week Monday to Sunday on a rota basis between the hours of 8am - 11pm providing housing and support for wonderful young individuals aged 16-25 in Yate, South Gloucestershire, who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness
- nurture robust and empathetic connections with the young individuals, providing practical and emotional support
- we are currently seeking a part-time Senior Support Worker to provide floating support across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, and Hereford, totalling 22.5 hours per week
- advocate for the rights and interests of young people
- we deliver tailored support packages, ranging from around-the-clock to a few hours weekly, focusing on providing high-quality accommodation combined with individualised, person-centred support
- safeguard them from any potential danger, harm, or abuse
- accurately document notes on our computer system and ensure seamless communication with support staff for effective handovers
- benefitting from monthly 1-2-1 supervision, a designated training pathway, and working with a knowledgeable, experienced and supportive team, you'll have all you need to develop within your role
- organised, scheduling staff shifts and proactively address any coverage issues
- good eye for talent, assisting in the recruitment, selection, induction, and supervision of staff as required
- advocate for the rights and well-being of young people, safeguarding them from potential harm, danger, or abuse
