Knowing that C4-UK funds employees meals, what is CENTRAL CAR SALES LEEDS like?
After more than 30 years in the motor industry, this is by far the worst company that I have ever worked for. They expect you to work very long hours driving all over the country to purchase cars to sell on to the trade. The appointments are poorly qualified and unless you can convince the seller to accept a considerably lower price than they get quoted online, you are very unlikely to earn any commission. At the same time you have to convince the customer to give you a 5 star TrustPilot review as your commission structure is heavily weighted to you getting these 5 star reviews. In addition to this, if a purchased car is subsequently found to have any faults that were not initially reported by you, then the cost of repairs are deducted from your commission. This would be acceptable if you were given a fair opportunity to fully assess the cars but you are only allocated 90 minutes per appointment and the majority of this time is spent waiting for the owner of the company to give you that low offer price. In effect, you get approximately 20 minutes to do a full assessment and test drive. I was the longest serving road based buyer for the company and worked there for 3 years. In that time, I trained up over 20 other road based buyers. All of whom have left. The average length of service being less than 4 months ( usually once they have realised that they will never earn anything close to what is suggested when they initially apply for the job). KEEP WELL CLEAR.
