deputy manager
Responsibility
- assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of the Daycare
- provide leadership and guidance to staff members, promoting a positive and supportive work environment
- collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement care plans for children, ensuring their individual needs are met
- to undertake the designated person's role for reporting, recording and monitoring child protection issues
- to maintain accurate, confidential, secure and up-to-date documentation on all cases of safeguarding and child protection
- undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Manager
- work with staff to ensure and provide care, play opportunities and activities in a homely, safe, nurturing and enriching environment, with regards to the individual development needs of the children
- to take responsibility to lead and implement planning that takes into account the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements
Requirements
- A higher-level qualification in Early Years Childhood Studies/ Early Years Childhood Education would be desirable
- A minimum of one year of experience at the Management level is desirable
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills
- you will have or are willing to complete the QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or relevant occupational qualification in Early Years Education, Social Work, Nursing, Teaching or Health Visiting
