- qualified accountant
- knowledge of charity accounting regulations, including accounting for restricted funds, and Gift Aid
- solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and control processes
- VAT
- comfortable using accounting systems and databases
- year end audit experience
- knowledge of intercompany accounting
- excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Responsibility
- regularly reconcile control accounts, intercompany accounts and maintain fixed asset register
- the Finance Manager will also be responsible for transferring the charity’s commercial operations into its trading subsidiary, and for managing the accounting and reporting of this separate company
- submit VAT and corporation tax returns as required
- complete the set-up of the trading company and transfer out relevant balances from the charity’s accounts
- assist the Chairman in producing annual budgets and forecasts
- ensure all statutory and Charity Commission filings are submitted on time
