estimator
Responsibility
- preparing estimates and cost plans at various stages of the project lifecycle
- control and management of the estimating process at project level
- monitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs
- assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers
- apply estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for compiling all types of estimates
- research the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipment
- establish and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors
Requirements
- candidates with vocational or degree-level qualifications in engineering or business management , with an interest in an engineering-focused career
- experience in cladding and structural steel – ESSENTIAL
- the ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets and deadlines
- excellent communication skills
- excellent time-management skills
- analytical skills
- attention to detail
