Responsibility
- we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and energetic school caretaker, preferably with experience, to join our established team
- maintenance work will include painting & decorating, building repairs, grounds and garden works
- applicants should have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- experience in a supervisory role and in building maintenance will be a distinct advantage
- caretakers form part of the call-out procedures and there may be call-out hours for emergency alarm activation
- the post holder will provide a comprehensive caretaking service which will include security, day-to-day management of the cleaning department, porterage, oversight of lettings and maintaining the appearance of our site which includes a Grade II listed building
- the school has a positive working environment with well-motivated pupils and supportive parents in a culture where everyone is valued
- they should be self-motivated, be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative and work well under pressure
