Responsibility
- we are looking for a capable colleague who has outstanding leadership skills
- these technical tasks will need to be delegated fairly and appropriate guidance and mentoring should be offered as and when required
- you are also be expected to be hands-on and join in with the repair and maintenance tasks
- as our new Workshop Supervisor, you will be kept busy managing your team of 3 mechanics and ensuring that all scheduled servicing and immediate repairs happen swiftly and accurately
- you will take great pride in ensuring that our plant machinery and small tools are fit to be hired out to our customers in Leeds and the surrounding areas
- you'll also be expected to encourage and insist upon high H&S standards from your team
- some of the machineries that you could get the chance to work on are engines, transmission systems, hydraulics, electronics, pneumatic, and parts of plant chassis/frames, such as tracks, wheels and booms
- as an experienced Workshop Supervisor, safety and quality will, of course, come naturally to you anyway
Requirements
- have valid proof of your right to work in the UK
- want to learn about new equipment and help to teach and mentor the other mechanics
- hold a full UK Driving Licence
- be able to work independently, and make decisions, without direct supervision
