I find the review on 17.03.24quite disappointing. Clearly a disgruntled ex-staff member wanting to air their feelings. Having worked for the nursery for many years I would say that this opinion is an unfair and unjust representation of the life of a Bizzy Kidz employee. The staff are all highly thought of and their roles are challenging, rewarding and appreciated by the owners, directors and managers. I know in particular that they will always do what they can to help their staff, even when they are experiencing difficult times in their personal life, be it financial support, childcare or emotional support. At Bizzy Kidz high quality Childcare is the top priority but also ensuring the environment is safe, clean and tidy is paramount too. Ensuring the staff are all trained and up to date with the constant changes in EYFS is essential. We know that the demands of childcare practitioners, the increase in the demand of places in our nursery is putting everyone under pressure and we hope we can continue to motivate each of us, dust ourselves down and do our jobs well, sorry you felt this strongly but clearly our Bizzy family wasn’t the place for you- I also wanted to address your comments about the daughter of the director and don’t like how you are trying to undermine her professionalism, as she has qualified to level 3 in her own right, she is a great colleague who is extremely flexible and loved by the children and the parents. I along with the rest of us doing our job wish you all the best in your career and let’s hope they will support you like we tried to.
But do you think that his opinion was not true? Because the fact that it could be an ex-employee makes it sound even more reliable...
When I first started working I felt that values matched up for myself and the employer overtime things became more stressful, many changes were made by the director which manager of the nursery I believe does the best job she can but gets over ruled at times. I enjoyed working with the children, parents and many colleagues were fantastic. I have felt that in one room in particular toddlers the level of childcare since changes made has not been very adequate with staff coming and going and ratios not being kept too therefore children are not getting best supervision or quality interactions from staff who focus too much on other jobs rather than on the children. The director of the company seems to value some staff over others especially when it comes to their daughter and her friends so favouritism is something that you have to put up with and if you have a problem these get overlooked by the director since it's family and you feel like your opinions do not matter. The director who can be hands on is also pretty rude and judgemental at times will say her priority is the children and having high quality childcare yet expect jobs such as stocking up cleaning things and keeping the place looking good to the take priority taking staff away meaning ratios to staff and children are not being met and yet again childcare quality interactions are hit therefore what are the children learning, she also does not value staff and has told some staff directly making comments such as "staff need spoon feeding" and "staff are negative" which most times she has been in she's negative with everything that goes on creating a negative environment with unhappy staff and treating staff like children which many staff have been employed young (maybe due to it being cheaper) and that she wants to mold staff that are young into high quality practitioners. I would like to say that pretty much most staff know what they are doing but some get handed things to them on a plate
Were there any procedures in place to challenge the decisions made by the director or any opportunities to voice your concerns in a structured manner? It seems like there were some major lapses in communication and understanding between staff and management.
Is there a real group spirit at BIZZY KIDZ NURSERY? Do managers listen to comments?
If you can get on with people then can be good but most people look out for themselves and the company CEO shows favouritism to her daughter and certain staff within the building.
Good evening everyone! Is there anyone here looking for work? If you want to work in Nottingham, don't hesitate to contact us!
Due to their proximity, GADS HILL SCHOOL and BIZZY KIDZ NURSERY compete with each other. Where is it worth applying for the job? Is someone able to share some insight?
