- prepare special dishes for special occasions
- prepare delicious, hygienic and healthy food according to business principles of Restaurant
- maintain the taste & quality of dishes which are prepared on a daily basis to ensure regular customers are satisfied
- demonstrate knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes of various curries produced in the kitchen
- demonstrate a thorough understanding of traditional Indian curries
- to aid the Head Chef to achieve the restaurant's budgeted food costs
- prepare and cook a range of Indian dishes including the curries, street food, quick bites/ starters, biriyani as set out in the restaurant menu
- to carry out month-end food stock taking
Requirements
- strong culinary skills with a passion for creating exceptional dishes
- knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen
- ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- excellent organisational and time management skills
- demonstrated leadership qualities in a fast-paced environment
