Requirements
- proven experience as a Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing or automotive environment
- ability to use hand tools, power tools, Hydraulic presses and welding equipment effectively
- proficiency in working with automotive lifting equipment, but training will be given
- basic mathematical and computer skills for ratio calculations, quotations and parts costings
- mechanical knowledge to interpret the best route of action, to remove a unit with the least effort and maximum safety
- ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively
- basic mathematical and computer skills for quotations and parts costings
- ability to use a phone/email to communicate with customers and parts suppliers
Responsibility
- strip, clean and inspect transmissions. Quote the customer and reassemble as required
- disassemble gearboxes and stock units , light cleaning duties as required during down time
