evaluate and assess satellites, spacecrafts and launch vehicles technical risks in order to contribute to optimise underwriting profit
evaluate and assess satellites, spacecrafts and launch vehicles claims
stay proficient/fluent and reports on latest space engineering technologies and industry trends
develop and make best value of network with the space engineering community and space industry
maintain and upgrade existing space databases and statistical space reliability models and produce new analytical tools as required, including work in collaboration with Beazley actuaries
liaise with brokers and other key partners in order to develop business relationships
key Relationships : Brokers, Underwriters, Claims staff, Coverholders, external Clients and Suppliers

Requirements

minimum Bachelor's Degree education in Engineering, ideally Aerospace Engineering
comply with Beazley procedures, policies and regulations including the code of conduct, which incorporates the PRA and FCA Conduct
ideally experience in the Space industry or the Space insurance market
comply with Beazley procedures, policies and regulations including the code of conduct
general commercial and financial knowledge
comply with Beazley procedures, policies and regulations including the code of conduct which incorporates the PRA and FCA Conduct
strong computer skills, ability with statistical model advantageous
proficient underwriting skills
