• assist in the articulation of conduct risk appetite and the rating levels of the risks
• maintain logs/registers in support of branch policy
• responsible for managing transaction screening system filter settings
• periodically review the existing conduct risk metrics and update
• undertaking compliance monitoring and maintenance of relevant log records in respect of monitoring and in fulfilment of the required records of prevailing policies
• perform AML/Sanction checks
• ensure all controls relating to conduct risk are periodically reviewed and enhancements identified

• handle transaction monitoring escalations to Financial Crime Compliance
• develop, embed and periodically review the conduct incident management process
• act as 2nd line of defence contact point and provide advice to Bank staff on sanctions risk management and other financial crime control matters
• handle internal suspicious activity reports and making external reports to relevant authorities as directed by the Bank’s nominated officer
• sustain the understanding of conduct risk by delivery of bank-wide conduct risk training
• keep up to date with the latest laws, regulations and best practice developments in respect to financial crime, make recommendations regarding necessary enhancements
• provide Financial Crime Compliance oversight of the Bank’s automated transaction and name screening, and transaction monitoring systems and liaise with the vendors as necessary

• handle compliance clearance of trade finance transactions

• review and draft/update Financial Crime Compliance guidance & procedures covering sanctions risk, transaction screening, name screening and transaction monitoring controls
• carry out periodic conduct risk compliance monitoring and report to the stakeholders
• responsible for managing the transaction monitoring system and horizon scanning in respect of new legal and regulatory requirements and manage the transaction monitoring risk assessment
• assist in the provision of financial crime prevention awareness and training to all staff
• ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate governance responsibilities of the firm’s operations in UK
• provide input on financial crime risk controls into the design and structuring of new products, services and systems
• manage risk, governance and foster appropriate corporate culture in the relevant areas of responsibility

Requirements

• at least 8-10 years of solid experience of working in conduct compliance risk related areas within a bank
• experience of customer due diligence and the process of on boarding customers and counterparts, generally

• approximately two years’ experience spent in a Compliance, or similar, role
