Responsibility
- lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to our guests' preferences
- ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment
- supervise food preparation processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
- train and mentor kitchen staff, helping them to develop their culinary skills and knowledge
- collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
- monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while managing food costs effectively
- assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new kitchen staff members
Requirements
- proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- strong knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques
- excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- A passion for cooking with creativity in menu development and presentation
- strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and service
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
- relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential
