- we are seeking a talented and motivated 3D Design Technician to join our team
- this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's growth and success
- be the expert in SolidWorks 3D software, providing support and training to colleagues
- utilise software features to streamline processes, reduce processing time, and improve productivity using standard templates and ordering sheets
- create manufacturing-ready drawings by modelling components from customer drawings and creating assemblies when needed
- generate accurate parts and fixings lists for modelled components
- ensure precise documentation of critical measurements on drawings for confident manufacturing
Requirements
- proficiency in 3D design software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools
- strong understanding of design principles, technical drawings, and manufacturing processes
- excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality designs
- good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot design issues
- strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to design and construction
- experience in the facade industry
