Responsibility
- perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- diagnose and repair vehicle issues using schematics and diagnostic equipment
- conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
- weld and fabricate parts as needed for vehicle repairs
- visually checks, test drives or uses test equipment to diagnose engine and mechanical faults
- removes, dismantles, repairs and replaces defective parts and prepares new parts using appropriate tools
- assemble and disassemble vehicle components
- perform equipment repairs as required
Requirements
- strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- proficient in using power tools and hand tools for repairs and maintenance
- ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- experience with welding and fabrication techniques
- knowledge of equipment repair procedures
- ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers
