this PLC is seeking a Group Insurance Manager who will be responsible for the eight-figure premium spend insurance programme
employing over 7,000 people, this decentralised organisation has six divisions including Construction, Fit-Out, Infrastructure, Property Services, Partnership Housing and Urban Regeneration
with 400–500 active projects at any one time, this surely makes for a very interesting and challenging Insurance Manager position
as Group Insurance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Group’s insurance programme
you’ll play a proactive role in understanding their divisions activities and ensuring that the insurance programme provides adequate coverage
you will support the divisions in dealing with complex claims, liaising with loss adjusters, brokers, and insurers, as necessary
ensuring adequate protection, you will work alongside key stakeholders , supporting the delivery of the insurance programme and being accountable for providing best practice recommendations in relation to insurance across the business
key duties will include managing and maintaining relationships with insurance brokers, captive managers and insurers, as well as making recommendations for the effective management of insurable risks
Requirements
you will also personally manage larger, more complex or contentious losses
insurance program execution – Supporting the insurance renewal process from the collection and submission of data, to the allocation of charges across all businesses and reviewing policy documentation
identifying new insurable risks – Monitoring market trends, and scrutinising the business’ existing operations , to ensure that risks are mitigated in-line with appetite for self-insurance, and notifying partners where new gaps in cover are established
claims management – With six-figure deductibles on a number of lines, you will oversee the claims notification process of the business
you must be highly analytical, process-driven and detailed-oriented
relationship management – Engaging with a variety of stakeholders , such as broker’s claims teams, insurers, legal advisors and colleagues from the Health & Safety Team
