Responsibility
- assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- perform routine procedures such as blood draws, Scheduele 3 procedures etc
- administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and surgeries
- prepare animals for surgery, including prepping surgical sites and monitoring anesthesia
- maintain cleanliness and organization of veterinary equipment and supplies
- educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- assist with the handling and restraint of animals during examinations and procedures
Requirements
- previous experience working as a veterinary nurse or veterinary technician is preferred
- excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary team members
- ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and medication administration
