- level 4 NVQ in residential childcare or equivalent
- to plan, manage and lead shifts ensuring children are kept safe and engaged throughout the day
- to undertake a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement
- proven ability to lead a team in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
- to ensure the Placement Plan for each child is always followed and adhered to
- to support education is promoted and supported and that each child’s attendance in education is maintained
- to commit to rotating shifts patterns and to do sleeps in the home
