Responsibility
- manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management
- supervise and lead warehouse staff, providing training and support to enhance performance
- implement and maintain effective business processes to optimise warehouse efficiency
- oversee the use of Warehouse Management Systems for accurate tracking of inventory and shipments
- collaborate with third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless supply chain operations
- monitor key performance indicators related to warehouse activities, aiming for continuous improvement in productivity and accuracy
- conduct regular audits of inventory levels and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- manage the site health and safety & ensure compliance
Requirements
- proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- strong understanding of business processes related to warehousing and logistics
- experience with shipping and receiving procedures in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of continuous improvement techniques such as Lean or Six Sigma
- familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems is essential
- ability to manage relationships with third-party logistics providers
- excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous
