we have the opportunity for assistant ecologists to join our team
the role will involve undertaking surveys, assisting our ecologists with project management tasks and drafting ecological reports
there will be opportunities to gain experience and training in biodiversity net gain, GIS and habitat creation
the role will be based from our Sussex office, on a Fixed Term or Permanent contract
as a consultant ecologist you will be responsible for leading ecological surveys, completing site work, writing reports under the guidance of senior staff, and assisting with project management responsibilities
we have the opportunity for assistant ecologists to join our team working on a fixed term basis throughout the core survey season May – October 2024

Education
bachelor's
Requirements
located in the South East of England
have a minimum of two years professional experience working in ecological consultancy or a similar role
A degree in ecology or related field
good field identification skills and protected species surveying experience
UK botany field identification skills
full knowledge of UK and EU Wildlife Legislation, UK planning policy and best practice survey techniques
demonstrable experience of conducting UK Habitat Classification surveys and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments
