- prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for electrical systems including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- create detailed project budgets and schedules in collaboration with project managers
- communicate with suppliers to obtain pricing and availability information
- evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements and budget constraints
- participate in project meetings and provide updates on cost estimates and budgets
- maintain accurate records of project costs and change orders
Requirements
- at least 2 years of experience in electrical estimating or a related field
- at least 4 years of experience in commercial electrical installations
- strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction methods
- knowledge of electrical systems and construction methods
- experience with estimating software
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
